Hygienic tanks
Hygienic buffer tanks with a stainless steel coil for instantaneous DHW heating are used as batteries that store thermal energy, which is then continuously transferred to the domestic hot water installation via the coil. Hot utility water is not stored in the tank, but heated by flow, which limits the development of legionella. The stainless steel coil has a hygienic certificate required by the National Institute of Hygiene. Buffer tanks are designed to store only neutral media. The maximum allowable operating pressure of the buffer is 3 bar (0.3 MPa). Buffer tanks are a complement to heat pump systems; solar systems; or solid fuel boilers. The buffers can be delivered without thermal insulation or with high-quality insulation made of polyurethane foam, which reduces heat losses to a minimum.
